At St. Matthew’s you’ll find a church family of all ages keen to grow in our Christian faith, committed to learning from the Bible and actively seeking to serve our local community as an expression of our love for Jesus Christ.
We’re a church for the whole family, with ‘Sunday Club’ providing Bible based age-appropriate activities for children from 0-12.
Our highest priority is learning from the Bible together. At every service the focal point is the Bible’s teaching as we seek to apply it’s truths to our everyday lives.
We are part of the Church of England, but welcome all Christians from any denomination or background. We are also members of the Sussex Gospel Partnership and the Evangelical Alliance.
Do come and join us next Sunday – we look forward to welcoming you!
Mike Coe – Rector
Here’s what happens at our services each month:
8:00 am : Holy Communion (BCP) (Except 1st Sunday)
10:30 am : Morning Service
1st Sundays – Holy Communion. This is our most traditional service. We have bread and wine to help us celebrate, remember and trust in Jesus’ death on the cross.
2nd Sundays – Morning Worship. This is our more informal service with contemporary music by the music team and use of multi-media.
3rd Sundays – All-Age Worship. A lively service with music, teaching and prayers for all-ages. There’s no Sunday Club for the children so we try to make this service as family friendly and inclusive as possible.
4th Sundays – Morning Worship. This is a more traditional and reflective service with hymns played on the organ.
5th Sundays - Various.
