St. Matthew’s Mission Partners

As part of our commitment to Gospel ministry, we actively support two individuals and two organisations involved in Christian mission outside of our parish, locally, nationally or overseas.

We support them financially through our annual Harvest Gift Offering in September.

Brief details of each mission partner are below, together with links to more detailed information if you would like to know more.

Charles Semwaga,  Rwanda

Charles works in Cyangugu where he is the Diocesan Evangelist and also responsible to oversee Development in the Diocese. While living and working in Cyangugu, his wife Juliet lives in the capital Kigali, 5 hours away by road (200 miles), looking after their 5 school children.

Juliet is studying at the Kigali College of Education for four years to study for a degree, a requirement of the Rwanda Government. She has now completed her degree and is waiting for Charles to build a school on land he bought in a very poor area outside Kigali.

TEARFUND – Sagoal Project in Nepal

At our Harvest Service each September, we encourage the church family to support the work of Tearfund, with a specific focus on the work of the Sagoal project in Nepal. Sagoal is an organisation run and staffed by Nepali Christians. It equips Nepali churches to reach out to their local communities and work with them to meet physical, social and spiritual needs, bringing positive and lasting change to local communities.
