The SGP Saturday morning training course has run for many years in various locations across Sussex and has benefitted huge numbers of people. It is also one of the courses recognised by the Diocese of Chichester. This year the central course will run in Hove but for the first time it will also be relayed to Hastings via a livestream. We will then form a satellite group with local tutors for workshops.
The aim of the course is to help people get to grips with the teaching of the Bible as a whole and then to equip them to pass on what it says to others. We would therefore strongly encourage you to consider signing up for the course if you want to deepen your understanding of the Bible’s teaching for your own personal benefit but especially if you want to be equipped to be part of the teaching ministry here at St Matthews.
If you come along, you will learn how the Bible fits together from beginning to end. You will study some of the different types of book we find in the Bible and what they teach. You will also consider some practical areas of ministry and have the chance to think about how to put the things you are learning into practice. You will do all of this with a small group of like-minded people with whom you can share what you are learning and have fun doing it.
The course will run on one Saturday morning per month from 9.30am to 1pm in the Mendham Hall (TN34 3LX). There will be minimal work to do between sessions.
The course lasts two years but we are only requiring people to sign up for one year at this stage.

The cost is £285 for the year. However, please do not let the cost put you off. We would prefer people to take the course and simply make a donation of what they can afford.
